Hydroponics comes from the Greek words hydro (water) and ponos (labor). Hydroponics is a new and advanced way of planting crops. The idea is to plant your crops in a special container that has water and some sort of medium.

The plants also need some sunlight, air, and proper pH levels. The pH levels should be in their optimum range (6.3), but anywhere from 5.8 to 6.8 is ideal. Air should also be in 6ppm for optimum growth.
